A Brief History - BIO

I was born in West Los Angeles CA and grew up in South Pasadena. If you don't know the area well you might be more familiar with Pasadena and the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl. Throughout much of my childhood I was exposed to the Film and Television industry. The TV show 'Family' was taped just down the street from my childhood home in South Pasadena and so much of the mystery and magic came to life before my eyes. I would see the production crew as they made the shows and commercials in my neighborhood and then see the result on TV at home or in the theatre. Something struck me at that point, and I realized that this is what I want to do. From there it was a simple process of teaching my self how to shoot and edit while I was putting my self through college.

I got my big break when I was hired at KUSI TV here in San Diego as a video editor. Then all I needed to do was buy a broadcast quality video camera, a tripod and a computer with all the software and ram. Then a tape deck and a monitor. Then I needed a microphone, cables and a portable light kit. The list is never ending as you can imagine. Along the way I have found that this is a great business to be in if you like buying things, there is always something to be researched and the learning process never ends as in so many professions.

The bottom line is this; I love what I do. I wear many hats and I love to make them all fit.
